As an emerging pianist, composer, producer and arranger in the city of Montreal, Andrei Castañon has taken part in many projects around the city, such as the International Jazz Festival. His music was featured in multiple independent films and video games, theatrical plays, and will soon be featured in the long awaited life simulation video game, Paralives, as the official composer and sound designer.
His musical education can be traced back to his five years of intensive classical piano studies at Pierre Laporte High School. While at Pierre Laporte, he also studied composition and orchestration under the critically acclaimed Denis Gougeon, and Pierre Michaud at l’Université de Montréal (UdeM). He, recently, finished a DEP diploma in jazz piano at Vanier College and is looking to further his studies at the prestigious University of Southern California.
